Nature-inspired Woodlands Gallery, 419 Main St, features home-like vignettes arranged to show highly original work – pottery, landscapes, furniture, and other hand-crafted pieces (open seven days a week, 11 am – 6 pm, 828-230-9080).
Down the street at 423 Main St, A Walk in the Woods honestly feels like a walk in the woods, and there are carved pieces, jewelry, Woodlands Gallery woven goods, walking sticks, and heirlooms to aid in your journey (open 10:30 am – 5 pm, Mon-Sat, 12 – 5 pm on Sunday, 828-577-6277).
Carolina Mountain Artists Guild (444 Main St, 828-696-0707), representing the diverse talents of 30 juried local artists, has managed to gather carved birds, baskets, brooms, scarves, stained glass, quilts, and warm hospitality under the same roof. Open 10 am – 5 pm, each day.
Apple Country Woodcrafters is located roughly five miles from The Oriole Mill in a warehouse park at 55 PEM Drive (Building C).
