You’ll leave feeling empowered with a newfound appreciation for the art of glazing. Don’t miss this opportunity to enhance your artistic skills and create something unique. Sign up for the Glazing the Cloisonné Way workshop today! Cuerda Seca, Spanish for dry cord The Moors developed this ancient glaze technique in the 14th century as a time-saving way to mimic the look of mosaics. Outlining the pattern with a liquid wax resist creates surface tension, making the glaze particles pile up on one another. Although the wax fires off early, the glaze stays put. The wax makes a faux grout line, while the thick glaze application raises each color’s surface, creating a mosaic look. This cloisonné inspired method produces rich colors and a desire to reach out and touch it. Beautiful, durable, and easy to care for ceramic art tile.

This is a 2-day workshop June 18th and 19th from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
