Southern Highland Craft Guild – “Sparkle”

The Southern Highland Craft Guild will open its newest member-focused show "Sparkle" on Saturday August 7. On the second level of the Folk Art Center in the Focus Gallery, the work of five Guild Members will be on display from August 7 through November 9. Folk Art Center: Black & White 4 Exhibit

The Southern Highland Craft Guild opened its final Main Gallery exhibition of the 2021 year on August 28th. This is the fourth edition of the popular Members Show Black and White. “This show is the most popular theme for members and visitors alike. A Living Language, Cherokee Syllabary and Contemporary Art

A Living Language: Cherokee Syllabary and Contemporary Art features over 50 works of art in a variety of media by 30+ Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians (EBCI) and Cherokee Nation artists. The exhibition highlights the use of the written Cherokee language, a syllabary developed by Cherokee innovator Sequoyah (circa 1776–1843).
