Fundamentals of Jewelry Making
February 26 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Join us for Fundamentals of Jewelry Making and unleash your creativity as you transform raw materials into wearable works of art!
This course is tailored for beginners and enthusiasts eager to explore the art of creating wearable masterpieces. Through a blend of hands-on practice, design theory, and expert guidance, students will learn the essential techniques needed to craft stunning jewelry pieces.
No prior experience is required—just a passion for creativity and a desire to craft beautiful, handmade jewelry. Students will learn foundational techniques and how to make findings from scratch, beaded connectors, rosary chains, string beads with crimp wire, make links and clasps, use bead caps, and many other design elements and techniques that can be used over and over.
In addition, students will learn how to choose suitable materials for their projects (and which materials to avoid), reputable places to buy high-quality supplies, and other helpful tips.
Each week, students will be guided through a project from start to finish and will be able to leave class with a new piece of jewelry! Students will be given options to customize their projects and make them unique. They will learn both technical skills and be able to use their imagination to create their own designs.
Supplies are included in this course. The age recommendation is 15+ although, exceptions can be made by the instructor.
