Turchin Center for the Visual Arts
Add to Trip

Stunning art, critical thinking and a world of workshops, under one roof

The Turchin Center, neatly situated on King Street in Boone at the intersection of university and community, consistently honors its mission of creating dynamic opportunities for persons of all ages and backgrounds to experience the power, joy, and healing aspects of the visual arts. The center features two wings and six galleries with changing exhibitions of contemporary works by international, national, and regional artists.

In addition to free-of-charge exhibitions on display throughout the year (the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts has supported Turchin through gifts of Warhol pieces), the center also offers ARTalks, gallery tours, and outreach programs aimed at children and other communities, especially those with special needs.
