Gallery 1 Sylva
Add to Trip

Gallery 1 in Sylva started life in 1989 as the Jackson County Visual Arts Association. Today, Gallery 1 serves a multifaceted role in the art community in and around Sylva. In what was once an upstairs office space, Gallery 1 showcases the work of its member artists. These more than 25 artists come from Jackson and contiguous counties. Gallery 1 fosters a thriving art community, giving artists a venue for their work, helping them advance their craft, and assisting in the presentation and marketing of their work,

Visitors to Gallery 1 will find blown and fused glass, decorative and functional fiber work, jewelry, wood turning, wood sculpture, metal sculpture, pottery, block print, handmade paper, photography, painting, and collage. Members volunteer time to sit the gallery, and shows are scheduled every other month with featured themes or artists.

Hours: Thursday and Friday 11 am – 3 pm
