It also features the history of the early settlers up through the development of Ski Beech and the community which became the Town of Beech Mountain. The latest exhibit, “The Music of Beech Mountain,” focuses on three families who made their instruments and preserved the music brought to the Appalachians by the Scotch-Irish.

The Museum is open mid-June through mid-October, Thursday through Sunday, 1-4. It is located at 503 Beech Mountain Parkway (next to Fred’s General Mercantile) in Beech Mountain, North Carolina. Admission is free.
