Swain County Heritage Festival

Come and celebrate Appalachian Mountain Heritage in the Great Smoky Mountains.

The Swain County Annual Heritage Day Festival is held on Friday and Saturday before Memorial Day in Bryson City, NC.

Happening May 22 & 23, 2026, at Riverfront Park, the festival is celebrating its 30th year.

Friday evening will feature Southern gospel music, including Brian Burchfield, The Barnes Family, Betty Barnes, Dyer Family Gospels, and more.

Saturday will be a big day with bluegrass, folk, and country music, plus clog dancing!

The Asheville Junction Band and One Touch Trio Band are just a sampling of the musicians.

Bring the whole family for art, crafts, food, and games. Admission is free. Be sure to bring a chair!

The Swain County Heritage Festival is a non-profit event, organized by volunteers.
