Mini Fair at the Folk Art Center

May 4 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

The Southern Highland Craft Guild will host its fourth-annual Mini Craft Fairs in the lower-level parking area of the Folk Art Center this Spring. This fair takes place Saturday, May 4th, 10:00 am-4:00 pm, and will feature 40 different artists.

Twenty booths will fill the parking lot featuring a variety of media crafted by members of the Guild. Disciplines represented include stained glass, wheel-thrown and hand-built ceramics, woodcarving, screen-printed, and sewn textiles, basketry, and metalsmithing. Visitors are invited to shop for handmade gifts and decor of both contemporary and traditional craft during this event.

The event will feature a different set of artists so visitors can plan on attending both to see a variety of work. Admission to this outdoor event and the Folk Art Center is free. The Folk Art Center is located at Milepost 382 on the Blue Ridge Parkway in east Asheville. Headquarters to the Southern Highland Craft Guild, the Center also houses three galleries, a library, a craft shop and a Blue Ridge Parkway information desk and bookstore.

Participants will be decided in March. Contact the Folk Art Center for a list of participating artists.
