Haywood Made: Carolina Heritage Weekend
April 20 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The Haywood County Arts Council (HCAC) is excited to announce their upcoming spring event on April 20th from 5-8 pm at The 37 Venue on Church St in Waynesville. Celebrate local art, music and dance at the Haywood Made, a part of the Carolina Heritage Weekend, a four day Haywood County art and culture experience.
This event will showcase local talent, including performances by The Maggie Valley Band and Mama Roux. Additionally, the American Ballroom Company dancers will be offering line dancing lessons for all attendees. Keith Coppage, from the American Ballroom Company, expressed his enthusiasm for participating in Haywood Made this year, stating, “Join us to learn from our talented instructors and discover the transformative power of dance.
Attendees will be able to take part in a free community art activity, visit the fairy hair table for some sparkle, and more. “This community art celebration has something for everyone.” says Tonya Harwood, HCAC’s Executive Director. Frog Level Brewing will be providing a selection of beer and wine, including a special collaborative label created in partnership with HCAC. Rollup Herbal bar will have a delicious menu of non-alcoholic cocktails available.
Alongside the showcase of artwork created by talented high school artists from across Haywood County. Haywood Made will feature a silent auction of local artist member artworks as well as a collection of artistically altered, one of a kind, denim jackets. These proceeds will be dedicated to the Haywood County Arts Council and their mission of supporting the arts in their community. Ticket prices for this event are $12 for adults and $6 for children, with children under the age of 10 are admitted free of charge. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate the arts in our community at Haywood Made!
Tickets can be purchased by visiting HCAC’s website, www.haywoodarts.org.
