Annual Graham County Flame Azalea Festival

The annual Flame Azalea Festival is a family-friendly, jam-packed day of arts, crafts, live music, food, and more.

Watch Cherokee demonstrations, take in the Antique Tractor Show, and keep the kids busy with a myriad of outdoor and educational activities.

Admission is free, though donations to Graham County Fire & Rescue are appreciated.

ALL DAY ACTIVITIES

Food Truck Court, Antique Tractors, Community Jam Tent, Barrell Train, Glass Blowing, Nature Printing, Natural Dyes, Sensory Play, Critters in the Creek, Live Animals, Cherokee Pottery, Outdoor Educational Activities

The Flame Azalea Festival also brings together an incredible lineup of performers throughout the day – a large, shaded listening tent is provided, but don’t forget your chair!

Visit the Joyce Kilmer-Slickrock Wilderness Partners booth at the Flame Azalea Festival to learn about the history of Hooper Bald and the rare stand of native flame azaleas that grow there. Leave with maps and tips to explore the Azalea Maze and the unique environment on top of Hooper Bald.
