The Uptown Gallery on Main Street in Franklin offers a unique opportunity for visitors to encounter a wide range of craft and instruction. Started in 1962, The Uptown Gallery has provided a collective for artists in the Franklin area, promoting art appreciation through education and exhibition and supporting the work of artists and art events. The gallery is home to a thriving visual arts center and exhibits locally made work by its member artisans.

The gallery also holds dozens of classes annually including painting, encaustic, fused glass, gourd decorating, paper mache, and photography, and actively seeks out artists in diverse mediums to add to the class schedule and gallery exhibitions.

Visitors to Uptown Gallery will find the work of dozens of local artisans in numerous media including jewelry, pottery, painting, encaustic, fused glass, photography, fiber arts and more. Programs and events at the gallery include five annual art shows, Kids Art Month, and Make-and-Take classes. The Uptown Gallery also collaborates with the Town of Franklin in many of its events and festivals.

Hours: Monday-Tuesday, Thursday-Saturday 10am-5 pm; Wednesday and Sunday by appointment.
