Terry Weber has always been interested in fiber, starting as a child with an Inkle loom. She got a four-shaft table loom around the same time as she welcomed her youngest child. Terry’s fiber work took a back seat to raising her children, earning her Master’s degree, and teaching high school and middle school science for a number of years. But she eventually returned to her fiber work with knitting after she had to sell her loom in preparing to move to Burnsville. However, for their 30th anniversary, her husband surprised her with an 8-shaft floor loom. Now, Terry explores her love of fiber on this loom and through other methods.

Visitors to TW Weaving can see Terry’s work and the process on display. Her studio space is a 15’ x 15’ foot room with superb natural light. She enjoys weaving complex patterns with materials that are pleasing to the touch. Her selection of materials is a visual bonanza. Terry particularly loves the interactions of patterns and color and the changes that textured yarns can bring to her work. Exploring different weave structures is a joy for her, especially when beautiful things emerge unexpectedly in negative spaces.

Visitors can learn more about the process and browse her products for sale that include scarves, table runners, baby blankets, shawls, place mats, and bags.
