For more than 50 years, Tryon Painters and Sculptors has been a resource for artists to both display their work and also learn more about individual art forms and techniques. Located in downtown Tryon, this unique organization is a non-profit member organization with more than 200 members. Membership is open to artists as well as lovers of art. Tryon Painters and Sculptors is governed by a board of directors and employs a gallery manager and gift shop manager.
Visitors to Tryon Painters and Sculptors will find an upstairs gallery, a gift shop, and studios for art lessons and sculpture. The gallery hosts a minimum of six shows per year in a variety of media including clay, wood, metal, quilts, and painting.
Workshop and classes are taught by members and offered in subjects including clay, painting, printmaking, drawing, sculpture, and more. The gift shop offers jewelry, pottery, wearing fabrics, drawings, and painting.
