Providing a home for the arts in Polk County

Tryon Fine Arts Center started in the 1960s to house arts groups in Polk County. Today Tryon Painters and Sculptors and Tryon Arts and Craft School have homes of their own,  but the Center remains an active part of the Tryon arts scene, providing an unrivaled venue for performing and visual arts.

The building houses a large auditorium, classroom space, meeting rooms, and a gallery. Exhibitions are both entertaining and informative and highlight visual arts that have distinguished the area as a birthplace. Always unique, exhibits are free to the public, providing a treasure trove of local talent, history, events and interests .

The Tryon Arts Center is a magnet for artists and art lovers. The Center is committed to life-long education in the arts for all members of our community. They strive to bring unique opportunities to young people, professional development to teachers, and engaging lectures and classes to adults.
