Native American Craft Shop
Add to Trip

Native American Craft Shop in Cherokee is aptly named. This shop offers work made by Native American artisans, exclusively. Todd and Janene Lancaster purchased the business in 2002. Janene is a native of the area and started selling crafts at her father’s motel when she was only 10 years old. Today, she and Todd focus on providing a wide selection of handmade Native American craft from more than 75 artists. Todd and Janene travel regularly to the western United States to choose fine arts and crafts that complement the wonderful creations made by local Cherokee artists.

Visitors can find Native American Craft Shop near the entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The shop sits near the Oconaluftee River, and it’s not out of the ordinary for a herd of elk to wander by. Inside the store visitors can find basketry, pottery, beadwork, carvings, and cornhusk dolls made by skilled artists of the Eastern Band of Cherokee and a number of other tribes.
