Bridget Fox likes to describe her work as a rare undersea garden of earthly treasures, cerebral concoctions, and cosmic delights. Mudventions in Celo is where this garden can be found. Organic blends of aquatic and botanical growths are the central focus of Bridget’s ceramic designs. Her style is unique, intricate, and colorful and doesn’t look like much else in the pottery world. Mudventions’ variety ranges from functional mugs and cups to decorative bowls and urns, ornaments, rattle pods, luminaries, mushrooms, wall sculptures, light sculptures…and brains, in ceramic form.
Visitors to Mudventions will see Bridget’s working studio where she can usually be found working in various stages of creation. Available for purchase are her decorative and functional porcelain forms inspired by unusual living organisms and patterns found in nature. They are made by using hand building techniques combined with wheel thrown forms. She uses various tools, stamps, and found objects to texture and decorate the surface of her work. She hand-paints forms with colorful glazes that are fired in oxidation to enhance the details of the forms. Bridget also offers pottery classes.
