Mountain Mist Gallery
Add to Trip

Mountain Mist Gallery in Cashiers has been offering the handmade work of regional artists for more than a decade. David Berger opened the gallery with a wealth of experience in the art market after 25 years of traveling on the art show circuit and years of experience curating. He was drawn to Cashiers for the slower pace and small-town feel, and the gallery gives him the chance to teach painting and offer a collection of local, handmade work. Julie Berger, David’s wife, is also a painter and a jeweler. David’s and Julie’s works are on display along with the work of more than 30 other artists and artisans.

Visitors to Mountain Mist Gallery will find work in a wide variety of media including painting, jewelry, pottery, sculpture, wood turning, basket weaving, and photography. The spacious showroom is well lit with displays highlighting the work of individual artists. David can frequently be found at his easel or teaching others in the individual and group lessons he offers.
