Medicine Man Crafts in Cherokee has been offering handmade Cherokee craft since 1963. The store was founded to exhibit and sell hand-crafted items from members of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, supporting the continuation of its rich community and culture. Almost six decades later, Medicine Man Crafts still holds that mission, offering a wide selection of authentic Cherokee-made arts and crafts as well as a vast array of medicinal and ceremonial herbal items.
Visitors to Medicine Man Crafts will see traditional Cherokee crafts including basketry, pottery, masks, wood and stone carvings, jewelry, beadwork, ceremonial wear, and weaponry such as blowguns, bows and arrows, and knives. Along with traditional craft, Medicine Man Crafts also features more modern takes on Cherokee art including masks, paintings, and pipes.
Also for sale is an immense selection of herbal tinctures, teas, salves, and soaps along with ancient ceremonial items, and a large selection of books on Cherokee language, history, crafts, spirituality, and herbal remedies.
