Julie and Paul Latos met at a fine art show in Wheeling, West Virginia in 2015. After five years, they joined their lives and studios together, when Paul moved to North Carolina. Julie started her exploration of pottery after a career in nursing. Her art reflects the ebb and flow of life and her utilization of glazes creates movement in each piece. Paul has an MFA in Ceramic Design from WVU and has taught at the university level. He has been recognized as one of the Best Artists of West Virginia and has shown at the Smithsonian. Paul is known for his dinnerware, but also creates sculpture with hand-painted glazes providing each piece an individualized design.

Paul and Julie Latos Pottery studio is in Lenoir, which is known for the manufacturing of furniture. Their home was designed with the fine craftsmanship of local woodworkers and features a gallery on the main level and their studio on the lower level. Visitors are able to see a multi-functional studio and learn about the process of creating pottery from the raw clay to a finished art form. Julie and Paul have their work displayed and for purchase.
