High Country Candles
Add to Trip

For Cyndi and Larry Zeigler, candles are about much more than just the light or scent they provide. Since opening High Country Candles in 1994, the Zeiglers have been making and selling candles that are works of art before a match ever meets the wick. High Country Candles is located on Main Street in Blowing Rock. When visitors walk in, they can find a staff happy to connect and candle artisans fast at work. Three generations of crafters are involved in producing the candles and the experience that can be found at High Country Candles.

High County Candles offers a wide range of scented jar candles, pillars, and votives, all made in-store. They have more than 70 different fragrances that compliment every season, occasion, and mood. Their signature hand-carved candles are unique and ornate and can be custom-made and refilled. Designed with seasonal and holiday themes, these candles are suspended to allow the artists to carve, bend, twist, and shape them into intricate patterns and designs. The candles are carved from wax with a protective acrylic coating, making them easier to clean and more resistant to heat damage in warm environments. High Country Candles gives guests an opportunity to find a unique, handmade craft catered to any preference.
