As visitors can see from the address signs as they pull in, Gayle Haynie’s work is all about color and light. Plenty of both can be found in the Glass by Gayle studio in Waynesville. Gayle moved to the South from Michigan in 1999. She’s been working in glass since 1990, starting with a focus in stained glass. Since that time, she’s worked to expand her knowledge of style and techniques. Gayle creates her work using fused glass, stained glass, and glass painting techniques. Most of her work is custom, and she welcomes the challenge of designing personal art.
Visitors to Glass by Gayle will find an open studio with excellent teaching space and natural lighting. A showroom of her work for purchase features wind chimes, clocks, jewelry, paintings, plates, bowls, mosaics, and more.
Gayle offers classes in fused and stained glass for individual and small groups. Class offerings can vary in length, focus, and size.
