Dragonfly Market Place
Add to Trip

When Kim Crowe opened The Dragonfly Market Place in 2015, she wanted to represent local artists and give the community a place to enjoy, purchase, and create arts. She was able to connect even more deeply to the community’s history in 2019 when the Dragonfly moved into the former Doncaster and Tanner manufacturing facility. Built in 1931, this 21,000 square foot building with high ceilings and vast floor area creates an ideal space for not only emporium-style market with a unique variety of offerings, but also instructional space.

At Dragonfly Market Place, local and regional artisans and craftsmen showcase their pottery, wood carving and turning, jewelry, furniture, metal work, knitting, crocheting, weaving, and other fiber art. Visitors can also find over 7,000 square feet of antique furniture, clothing, needlework, cast-iron cookware, toys, and much more.

Dragonfly Market Place offers an array of classes. Many of the vendors teach classes in their respective crafts, and each Tuesday’s classes are focused on youth arts. Classes are offered in ceramic glazing, barn quilt painting, agriculture, herbs, and freezing and canning of vegetables.
