Arrowhead Artists and Artisans League in Old Fort is dedicated to promoting the arts in the community, providing arts education, giving local artists a venue to show their work, and preserving the art of the area. Arrowhead Artists and Artisan League is a cooperative with more than 100 members. The gallery features work from more than 40 member artists and artisans from across Western North Carolina. All work shown is created by members. Community outreach includes ten murals painted by members around Old Fort, as well as support for local art education through donations of materials and time.
Visitors to Arrowhead Artist and Artisan League will find an expansive space located in a beautifully preserved and renovated warehouse facility. The facility has multiple gallery areas, classrooms, and studios. There are two separate clay classrooms for pottery classes and workshops. Work on display frequently includes hanging art, wearable art, decorative interior furnishings, pottery, yard art, cards, prints, and more.
Classes offered include oil, acrylics, watercolor, graphite, fibers and more. Classes with professional instructors are affordable and offered at a wide range of times.
