New Western Regional State Archives to Hold Open House Aug. 4

The pubic is invited to a preview open house at the North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources Western Regional Archives (WRA) on Saturday August 4, between 1 and 5 p.m.  The WRA, located on the 3rd floor of the Department’s Western Office at 176 Riceville Road, in Asheville, will officially open to researchers on Monday, August 13.

Administered by the State Archives of North Carolina, the WRA collects, preserves, and makes publically accessible archival materials reflecting the culture and history of Western North Carolina.
