The Warriors of Anikituhwa, official cultural ambassadors of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, utilize the art forms of storytelling and dance to revitalize and increase understanding of traditional Cherokee culture in the Appalachian region and beyond. In the Cherokee language, Ani-Kituhwa-gi means the people of Kituwa, the ancestral site along the Tuckasegee River that the Cherokee know as their original town and sacred mound.
