US Highway 441 has reopened in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The road has been closed since January after a landslide destroyed a section between Cherokee, NC and Gatlinburg, TN. US – 441 serves as the main thoroughfare through the Park and its reopening comes just in time for the Spring/Summer season. For more information check out this story by the Asheville Citizen-Times.
