Jane Lonon, long time director of the Ashe County Arts Council, has been awarded the Order of the Long Leaf Pine. The award, one of the highest honors given to a North Carolina citizen, recognizes Jane’s long time commitment and service to her community. While serving as the head of the Arts Council Jane has worked tirelessly to promote the arts, education and entertainment of Ashe County.
