A BRNHA grant supported the creation of native flora and habitat conservation exhibits for kids at the W. Kerr Scott Reservoir’s Environmental Education Center in Wilkesboro, NC.

Located on the lower level of a Visitors Assistance Center, the Environmental Education Center opened to the public in November, 2010. The center’s indoor and outdoor exhibits and classroom have become a learning resource for school and youth groups and are an added attraction for visitors to the reservoir (annual reservoir visitation is over 800,000).
