Upper French Broad Riverfest

The Transylvania French Broad Stewards, the Town of Rosman, Conserving Carolina, and Headwaters Outfitters are joining up again to put on the 10th annual Upper French Broad Riverfest! We invite residents and visitors to come spend a fun day celebrating the river! Join us at Champion Park in Rosman, NC for a free, family-friendly festival with live local music, hands-on educational activities from many local businesses, including: the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission will be there with Rocky the Hellbender, NC Cooperative Extension, Gorges State Park, the Waterfall Keepers of NC, Brevard Clay, Transylvania Co. Library, Blue Ridge Audubon, League of Women Voters, Transylvania Co. Bird Club, Leave No Trace, Pisgah River Rangers – the Pisgah Conservancy, Self-Help Credit Union, Wai Mauna SUP Tours, Oxbow River Snorkeling, Asheville GreenWorks, Hemlock Restoration Initiative, Pisgah Chapter Trout Unlimited, Gaia, Transylvania Public Health, Earthshine Nature Programs, Carolina Mountain Flora, Mountains to Seas Scuba, FIND Outdoors,  Brevard Dog Park, and more! And Colonial Acres Farm will have native plants for sale and Land of Sky will have EVs on display! All of our hosts/partners will have interactive displays and educational opportunities related to the French Broad River and the plants and animals that call this region home! There will be free tubing for everyone, food trucks (The Local Harvester, Daddy D’s on Wheels, Baabal’s Ice Cream, Southern Sips and Jenny’s Minis Donut Bus!), and more! Don’t forget your swimsuit and towel!
