An event every week that begins at 10:30 am on Wednesday, repeating until August 1, 2018
Junior Forester Program at the Cradle of Forestry, 10:30 am-12:30 pm, The program is designed for boys and girls ages 8-12. Forestry goes beyond studying trees and there are forest scientists who study just about everything between plants and animals. Junior Foresters will explore what a scientist needs to know when studying insects, reptiles, or water quality, and the skills they need to have such as orienteering or map reading. Each youth receives a Junior Forester badge upon taking the “Conservation Pledge” Please register by calling 828-877-3130, or click on the link.
