January 26, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Join us for a Cherokee storytelling program featuring Freeman Owle, who will engage adults and children with a mix of history and ancient Cherokee stories that have been passed down from generation to generation.

Owle has told stories and presented programs on Cherokee history and culture throughout the Southeast for more than twenty years. An elder in the Cherokee tribe, Owle also serves on the Board of Directors of the Qualla Arts and Crafts Mutual. He is one of the featured storytellers in the book Living Stories of the Cherokee, and he also appears in the video documentary The Principal People, which aired on public television in North Carolina, South Carolina and Kentucky.
