Folkmoot Summerfest 2022 and KidStuff

Folkmoot Summerfest 2022 provides amazing, interactive, kid-friendly opportunities and activities. KidStuff is proud to present “Base Camp On the Go,” featuring Gaga Ball, Zorb Ball, Slackline, Corn Hole, giant Connect 4 and Lawn Jenga. There’s a fantastic selection of interactive games consisting of ring toss, pin the nose on the clown, fishing, bowling, and hula hooping.

Immersive activities like face painting, costumes and characters from Hart Theatre entertain while The Daydreamz Project takes children on a world tour with Cultural Passports, an arts and crafts exploration. At 2 PM, Street Creature Puppet Collective presents Nona’s Unintentional Cooking Show, a four-person marionette show for all ages!

KidStuff will take place on Saturday, July 30, 2022 from 10 AM-5 PM as part of Summerfest 2022’s International Day programming in downtown Waynesville.

Evan Hatch, Folkmoot’s Executive Director says, “Kids, bring your parents! We’ve got an epic kid’s area this year. Young people will be given the opportunity to have loads of fun and learn about cultures from around the world through all the activities at KidStuff.”

Many partnering community organizations are presenting these events including Kiwanis Club of Waynesville, Daydreamz, Hart Theatre, Street Creature Puppet Collective, and Waynesville Parks and Recreation. There is something for kids of all ages. Don’t miss this special event!
