Join Gretchen Griffith, a talented story catcher and author, for a book launch and reception at the HUB Station.
Gretchen’s newest book, “The Physician and the Forester”, is an inspiring story of a dedicated couple from the Foothills of Western North Carolina. Dr. Marjorie Strawn and her husband Bill impacted not only the county in which they lived but also the entire state and beyond. Her years as a family practitioner, public health director, and Lenoir City Council member intertwined with his in the US and North Carolina Forest Service and later in his business life. Together they served the community in a way that brought their faith alive through their sense of compassion and acceptance of other people.
