The Blue Ridge National Heritage Area is pleased to welcome the Essential Grant Skills workshop to Western North Carolina. This program comes to us from The Grantsmanship Center, the world’s oldest and largest fund development training organization. Since 1972, The Grantsmanship Center has trained more than 115,000 staff members of nonprofit and government agencies around the world.

Essential Grant Skills provides an overview of the entire grants process, with in-depth emphasis on the key areas where even experienced grant professionals often stumble. Knowing how to identify and overcome these hurdles is crucial to success. Essential Grant Skills is interactive and includes practical exercises.

Upon completion of the workshop, graduates receive six months of free follow-up services through the exclusive Membership Program. These include access to a comprehensive online database of foundation, corporate, and government funding sources.

The Blue Ridge National Heritage Area is hosting this program as a community service, donating the space and workshop promotion.

To ensure personalized attention, class size is limited. These workshops often fill to capacity, so be sure to enroll early. To register, call The Grantsmanship Center directly at (800) 421-9512 or (213) 482-9860. Or you may register online. For more information about the training site, call 828-298-5330, ext. 301.
