Mora
Add to Trip

Mora in downtown Asheville offers a carefully curated collection of modern jewelry. More than 30 distinguished designers are represented in a vibrant gallery that celebrates Asheville’s independent spirit. Opened by Marthe Le Van in 2012, Mora sits on a side street in the heart of downtown. Artists are showcased in a friendly and accessible environment, and visitors are encouraged to touch, try on, and ask questions about their work.

Mora champions artist-made jewelry that is creative, original, and intriguing—a perfectly polished gemstone set in high-karat gold is displayed next to captivating earrings fashioned from 3D-printed plastic. What ties together this eclectic collection is a devotion to outstanding, handmade design. Twelve of the jewelers Mora represents are based in the Asheville region. Three of them work regularly in the gallery, so there’s a good chance for guests to meet and connect with actual makers.

Visitors to Mora will enjoy many different styles and forms of contemporary jewelry. The staff at Mora are experts in the field of jewelry and love sharing their knowledge with visitors. The gallery intentionally stocks a wide range of price points as well as styles, so there’s something for every guest, whether they are looking for unusual gifts, a treat for themselves, or one-of-a-kind wedding jewelry.
