Green Hill Gallery
Add to Trip

Joyce and Jimmy Massie have both lived in Waynesville all their lives. Joyce remembers that her father called the nearby area where they lived “Green Hill,” so when she and Jimmy bought what had been The Blue Owl Studio as part of their retirement plan, it seemed obvious to them to change the name to Green Hill Gallery.

Today, Green Hill Gallery’s goal is to showcase as local an offering of art and craft as can be found. Almost all of the work for sale is from the Southeast, and a third of that work is produced within a 30-mile radius of the gallery. Joyce fancies the gallery as a “happy place gift store” for herself as well as her customers.

Visitors to Green Hill Gallery will find local work in a variety of media. At least three different potters contribute work from mugs to lamps to platters and dinnerware. Green Hill Gallery also features vintage, classic, modern, and artisan crafted jewelry including hundreds of necklaces and pairs of earrings from jewelers in Waynesville and across the region. Locally made notecards and matted prints are also available for purchase along with local photographs printed on both canvas and aluminum.
