Congratulations to New North Carolina Welcome Center Managers

Two longtime travel counselors have been promoted to managers at two North Carolina Welcome Centers. Mary Ann Teague of Waynesville, who joined the Welcome Center program in 1996, has been named manager of the I-40 West Welcome Center in Haywood County. Chris McKeaver of Siloam, who joined the Welcome Center program in 2000, has been named manager of the I-77 North Welcome Center in Surry County.

The Division’s nine Welcome Centers promote thousands of tourism-related businesses – attractions, accommodations, events and more – to visitors already in North Carolina who are actively seeking travel information. Located on Interstate highways just inside the state line, each Welcome Center has a statewide focus, with an emphasis on information for visitors traveling a particular interstate corridor.
