Mountain Legacies: Exploring Appalachian Culture

The Transylvania Heritage Museum's new exhibit, Mountain Legacies: Exploring Appalachian Culture, is now on display. This exhibit shows how early settlers made their way into the Appalachian Mountains and made them their home. Families with roots in Scotland, Germany, and France arrived by way of Virginia or South Carolina with few personal possessions.
