This year’s annual meeting, “Celebrating Our Heritage and Planting Seeds for the Future,” will honor the National Parks, NC State Parks and Pisgah National Forest’s centennials and will spotlight and celebrate our natural heritage and its future.
Keynote speaker will be Chase Pickering, a fifth generation family owner of Biltmore, who from an early age has been involved in conservation efforts. His presentation will be “Our Conservation Legacy: A Tradition of Protecting the Natural Heritage of the Mountains.” Chase currently serves on the board of directors for Friends of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Muddy Sneakers where he focuses on innovative strategies to connect kids with nature.
This will be the 9th annual Gather ‘Round meeting, which has become a tradition among our partners and friends who come together to network and celebrate the many wonderful projects and successes that continue to strenghten and preserve all that we treasure in the mountains and foothills of North Carolina.
