Stories From the Storm – Writing Workshop

An event every week that begins at 1:00 pm on Thursday, repeating until March 20, 2025
Hurricane Helene roared through our region and blew apart our lives in ways both monumental and mundane. If you’ve struggled to put your experiences of Helene into words – and you’d really like to – this workshop is designed to help you tell your stories from the storm. Participants will work through guided writing exercises each session to gather and articulate their memories of Helene and its aftermath. Sessions are designed to help you begin writing rather than to construct a finished narrative for publication (though we’ll be generating a lot of material that you could work with). No formal writing experience is necessary and no sharing will be required.
