About the Event:
Named after the Cherokee word “Sakonige” (pronounced Sha-co-na-gay), meaning “blue,” this festival honors the rich cultural roots of the region known as the Land of the Blue Smoke. This will be a vibrant celebration of local heritage, music, food, and art in the heart of Cherokee.

What to Expect:

  • Live music and performances throughout the day, including acts like Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band, J Creek Cloggers, Warriors of AniKituwah, Chalwa, and more.
  • Regional cuisine from local food trucks and Harrah’s dining options.
  • Artisan market featuring handcrafted works by local and regional creators.

Ticket Information:

General admission is $15.75 via Ticketmaster or at the Cherokee Welcome Center.

Free ticket options available at the Cherokee Welcome Center and the Smoky Mountains Regional Visitor Center in Franklin, while supplies last.
