Memento of this Moment: Robert G. Burch – Reception

Join us in our newly opened gallery in Black Mountain on Friday, April 4th from 5 – 7pm for the opening reception of Memento of this Moment, a new exhibit by Robert G. Burch (as seen on Netflix’s Blown Away).
New sculptures feature wood from trees fallen, and stones moved during hurricane Helene. These works utilize Burch’s sharpened chainsaw skills honed during storm clean up, and were created in an effort to make something beautiful from the disaster. Mixed media sculptures contain objects found in local antique stores, bridging these contemporary pieces to local history.
