Fridays at the Folk Art Center: Untold Stories of Appalachian Women

FREEJoin a Parkway ranger for an evening exploring the incredible contributions of women in the Appalachian region. We will be sharing the stories of the Cherokee War Women, enslaved women, midwives, and the women of today who have shaped Appalachia and the Blue Ridge Parkway. It will be a fun, informative, and inspirational evening for all ages!
Meet at the Folk Art Center at Milepost 382 in Asheville. Program will be outside on the grounds. (Masks are required when physical distancing cannot be maintained. Please bring a mask in case needed for everyone’s safety.) Bring a chair or blanket to sit on. Please be aware that the Folk Art Center will NOT be open during the program and there are no restrooms available on site.
