Fridays at the Folk Art Center-The Blue Ridge Parkway Presents: All About Black Bears

July 2, 2021 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Whenever a bear shows up in a story or movie, we know something wonderful–or maybe a little scary–is about to happen.  Despite the mystery, bears have come back from near extinction from overhunting and habitat loss to a thriving population today. Join a Parkway ranger to learn the true nature of one of the most iconic animals of the western North Carolina mountains.

Meet at the Folk Art Center at Milepost 382 in Asheville.  Program will be outside on the grounds.  Bring a chair or blanket to sit on.  Please be aware that the Folk Art Center will NOT be open during the program and there are no restrooms available on site.

Call 828-298-5330, ext. 302 for more information.
