Fridays at the Folk Art Center: Legends and Myths of the Cherokee

Join a Parkway ranger for an evening of storytelling. Learn the difference between a legend and a myth.  Come explore the importance of storytelling among the Cherokee and how oral traditions kept their history alive for hundreds of years.

Meet at the Folk Art Center at Milepost 382 in Asheville.  Program will be outside on the grounds.  Bring a chair or blanket to sit on.  Please be aware that the Folk Art Center will NOT be open during the program and there are no restrooms available on site.
