April 10 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Farm, Food, & Community: A Documentary about Blue Ridge Women in Agriculture

Rooted in the High Country of Western North Carolina, BRWIA has worked to strengthen the local food system and build community among farmers and consumers. This film explores the 20-year development of this nonprofit organization and the creation of resilient local food pathways in the region.

Following the film screening, join us for a lively panel discussion!

With special thanks to Coneflower Creative Documentary Co-Directors: Anne Ward and Chip Williams. Ward, an associate professor in the Department of Communication at Appalachian State, and Williams, an associate professor in the Commercial Photography program within the Department of Art at App State, have collaborated on many documentary projects over the years, and their films have been screened in international, national and regional film festivals.
