Build a Tenor Ukulele with Michael Burger

Students will learn how to construct a tenor ukulele. Instructor will provide a kit that includes pre-formed raw materials, tuners, fret wire, and strings. Students will learn wood bending, precise measuring, hand tooling, nut carving, bridge and saddle carving, fret slotting, pressing, leveling, crowning, and polishing. Students will also learn basic wood finishing. Students who complete the course will have a playable instrument and a basic understanding of luthier skills.
