Brews, Blues and BBQ Festival

August 17, 2019 @ 4:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Nothing says North Carolina like blues music, barbecue, and craft beer. On Saturday, August 17, the inaugural Brews, Blues and Barbecue Festival will bring all three of those things together in downtown Marion from 4:30 – 9:30 p.m. Visitors to the event can enjoy dishes from 10 different food vendors, beer from eight regional craft breweries and music from four blues bands all while supporting the Grayson J. Andrews Foundation. The nonprofit provides support to the families of babies born prematurely.

A barbecue competition will also be held during the event. For $5, visitors will receive samples from each entrant competing in the barbecue competition as well as tickets that they can use to vote for their favorite barbecue.
A people’s choice award will be given to the vendor with the most tickets and an overall winner will be chosen by a panel of local judges. Each winner will receive a trophy.

Live music will be provided by the Fried Melon Blues Band, Eastside Blues, Jesse Barry and the Jam, and the Red Dirt Revelators starting at 4:30 p.m.

Along with a selection of food, beer and live music, the event will feature a car show, hosted by the Five Lane Cruisers, and a Motorcycle Show, held by the Bikers Against Child Abuse Charitable Organization. In the festival’s family zone, kids can enjoy inflatables, games and much more. There will also be a variety of crafts, jewelry and other item vendors onsite for folks that want to do a little shopping during the event.
