An energetic cooperative featuring lively work for almost four decades
Along the upper end of Blowing Rock, where Main Street meets Highway 221, an unassuming storefront houses an expressive cooperative gallery that has been open since the early 1980s. The gallery represents between a dozen and 20 members, all of whom live within a 50-mile radius of the store and take turns working in the gallery. This friendly way of minding the store allows visitors the opportunity to chat with an artist who has work on view. The gallery jumps with color and texture, offering a wide array of pottery, jewelry, fiber art, basketry, photography, paintings, and woodworking ~ open seven days a week.
